IT Basic Protection
The IT-Grundschutz (IT basic protection) is an established standard for setting up and operating an information security management system (ISMS). It provides guidance, methods and process models for public authorities, companies and institutions that want to introduce and operation an information security management system as part of a holistic approach. The central elements, the IT basic protection compendium and the BSI (Federal Office for Information Security) standards provide best practices, but also very comprehensive and concrete requirements.
